Canada Media Fund launches new IDM Iteration Program

The Iteration Program will support the creation of new content for CMF-funded interactive digital media (IDM) projects that have demonstrated marketplace success.

Under this pilot program, eligible applicants may obtain up to $350,000 for a new phase of work to build on the success of a previously CMF-funded project and maximize opportunities for increased audience reach and engagement. At least 30 per cent of the program’s budget will be reserved for projects meeting the definition of Diverse Community (Ownership) Project or Gender Balance (Ownership) Project.

Work proposed can include, but is not limited to:

  • New content, features, or levels.
  • Porting to an additional digital platform.
  • Localization for new language market(s).

Detailed information about the eligibility and selection process are available in the Program Guidelines.

Read the Program Guidelines

Funding will be allocated to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until depletion of the program’s budget.

The CMF will be accepting applications for funding starting November 12, 2024.
