Trade Mission to IndiaJoy 2023

October 29-30: Mumbai & Bengaluru
October 31 – November 5: IndiaJoy (Hyderabad)
This trade mission is being organized in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, and the focus will be to match businesses with partners in India’s Digital Entertainment and Interactive Media sector. It will begin with the opportunity to meet with industry in Mumbai and Bengaluru, and then go on to participate in IndiaJoy. Ideal for companies that are new to the Indian market, as well as those looking to renew interests in the following sectors:

  • VFX
  • Animation
  • Video Games
  • AR/VR
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Specialized Technology Companies

Mission Details:
British Columbia Trade and Invest India has four offices that are co-located at the High Commission of New Delhi and the Consulate Generals in Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Bengaluru. The team can assist BC companies with their India growth plans, and the Digital Entertainment Trade Commissioner will be available to provide on ground assistance during the event. The trade mission will include the following:

• Participation in networking events
• Canada Pavilion to spotlight participating Canadian companies
• B2B meetings organized by the Government of BC Trade & Invest team
• Free registration to IndiaJoy exhibition and conference
• Speaking opportunities (subject to conference organizers discretion)
• Site visits to key studios and companies
• Assistance in planning other meetings across India
• Post-mission check-ins with BC Trade & Invest to plan next steps for your business
• Briefing session on doing business in India’s Digital Entertainment and Interactive Media sector
NOTE: Participants will be responsible for flights, visas, accommodation, meals, and other local costs. Information regarding possible travel funding support will be shared once available.

About IndiaJoy 2023

IndiaJoy is Asia’s largest aggregator platform bringing together companies and events in the animation, VFX, games, comics, film, e-sports and Web3 industries. The 2023 edition will be held at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana. The festival offers nine events for investors, digital media companies, studios, content developers, and hardware manufacturers featuring networking opportunities, trade exhibitions, product launches, and B2B/B2C events.

Participating Canadian companies will have the opportunity to showcase their creative technology, products, services and solutions to the industry, while also developing relationships with potential new customers and having access to market experts and decision-makers to gain deeper insights into India.
