ANIMATION & VISUAL EFFECTS ALLIANCE OF BC

We are the Voice of the Animation and Visual Effects Industry in British Columbia.

Our members have helped establish British Columbia as a global centre of excellence in animation and visual effects for feature films, television and original content.

Powered by DigiBC and ScreenBC, we work proactively with government, industry, and education partners to ensure British Columbia remains an exceptional place to create, produce, and grow animation and visual effects.

Who we are.

We represent companies from an industry that employs over 8,000 highly skilled artists, technicians and production professionals across the province.

Our industry injects hundreds of millions of dollars into British Columbia’s economy through jobs and infrastructure investment, specializing in both domestic IP and service work for global film and television productions.

What we do.

Our work is focused on jobs, talent, diversity and community. We engage with government to help grow and strengthen the sector, collaborate with educational institutions to develop industry-relevant skills and training, support greater diversity and inclusion, and create opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration among our members.

Together, these efforts support economic growth, job creation, talent development and a strong creative community—while increasing awareness of the extraordinary work being created in BC.

The value of membership.

Supporting the Alliance helps create the conditions for BC animation and VFX companies to:

  • Build a strong and sustainable animation and VFX ecosystem
  • Have a meaningful voice with government
  • Maintain competitive and stable government incentives
  • Attract new projects and investment to BC
  • Access talent and develop the next generation of local talent

Join the alliance.

The Alliance offers three levels of membership depending on the size of the company, its stage of growth and the level of involvement it would like to have in industry advocacy and Alliance activities. The level of membership may differ by company, but every member contributes to maintaining a collective industry voice and ensuring the interests of animation and VFX companies are effectively represented in the decisions that affect our sector.
